Livelihood Support
Creating Pathways to Employment, Entrepreneurship & Empowerment
At Idara Sadaat-e-Gulaothi (SG), we believe that the true measure of empowerment lies in economic independence. Unemployment and lack of stable income affect not only individuals but entire families and communities. SG’s Livelihood Support Initiative aims to tackle this challenge by helping people either secure suitable employment or start their own businesses—depending on their skills, ambitions, and circumstances.
Employment Assistance
SG actively works to connect job seekers with opportunities by:
- Encouraging members to share vacancies from their organizations
- Reaching out to external employers and recruiters to source job leads
- Assisting with resume preparation, interview coaching, and job applications
- Offering career counselling through experienced mentors
Supporting both members and non-members across all professional levels
Entrepreneurship & Self-Employment
For individuals with the drive to start small ventures, SG provides guidance and, where possible:
- One-time financial assistance or grants for micro-enterprises
- Help with basic business planning and budgeting
- Linkages with local markets, suppliers, and mentors
- Referrals to government and NGO-based skill development or loan programs
Common supported ventures include: tailoring, mobile repair, grocery vending, home-based services, and more.
